The charm of Roman glass

The exhibition The charm of Roman glass is open until 27 September 2020, at the Archaeological Museum at the Roman Theater. The exhibition was created to coincide with the Carlo Scarpa exhibition. Glass and drawings 1925-1931, exhibited until March 2019 at the Castelvecchio Museum.

 

An opportunity to see live the parallels between the works of the Venetian architect and the ancient vases which, in many respects, were the inspiring models of many twentieth-century glass creations. It is therefore of particular interest to visit both exhibitions to find the evidence that links these different historical periods and the respective glass production.
