The hotel houses frescoes by Pino Casarini in both the Lounge and inside the Arena Casarini.
This true work of art is a remarkable calling card, which remained invisible and hidden for decades until the restoration work carried out by the Duetorrihotels Group restored it to its full splendor for the city to admire once again. Since the 14th century, the Due Torri Hotel in Piazza Anastasia was known as the “Palazzo dell’Aquila” and had already been used as an inn by 1674. After several changes of ownership, in the mid-19th century it was purchased by the Arvedi family and transformed into the Grand Hotel Imperiale, which soon became the city’s most famous hotel. During the 18th century, notable guests included Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, to whom a suite is dedicated, and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The hotel was also the setting for important historical events, such as the coronation in exile of Louis XVII and the signing of the Treaty of Villafranca between Napoleon III, Victor Emmanuel II, Archduke Rainer, and Joseph Radetzky von Radetz. In 1866, Giuseppe Garibaldi addressed the people of Verona from the balcony of what is now the Maria Callas Suite.

The visit is free of charge, and reservation is required.
Meeting point: please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time in the Hotel Lobby.
