Info and reservations

Tenor Yusif Eyvazov and soprano Anna Netrebko have been a wonderful couple both on and off stage since 2014. One of their most recent performances together was at the opening of the 2017–2018 opera season at La Scala in Milan, in Andrea Chénier, conducted by Riccardo Chailly. For the 2019 Opera Festival, the Arena di Verona will host them together again on June 29, July 4, and July 7, 2019, in Il Trovatore, Giuseppe Verdi’s masterpiece and the pinnacle of Romantic opera, in the highly acclaimed Arena production directed by Franco Zeffirelli with costumes by Raimonda Gaetani.

This highly anticipated debut is just the first major announcement regarding the 2019 summer season program, which will open with a new production of La Traviata, followed by Aida, the aforementioned Il Trovatore, Tosca, Carmen, and two special evenings: Plácido Domingo 50 Arena Anniversary Night and Carmina Burana.
