Diritti dell'interessato

The Birth of the Diva

The exhibition offers an in-depth look at the places and people who surrounded the figure of the Diva during that period. It will particularly explore the five seasons in the Arena during which Callas participated, as well as the works she interpreted: from Gioconda to Turandot, passing through Aida, Il Trovatore, Traviata, and concluding with Mefistofele.

Remembering that Maria Callas was born in New York on December 2, 1923, and started her extraordinary career with her debut at the Arena on August 2, 1947, the exhibition represents a tangible homage to the highlights of her life and career linked to Verona.
