Alberto Giacometti is one of the most important, or even perhaps the most important, sculptor of the 20th Century, and one of the artists commanding the highest prices at auction. This exhibition was born out of the desire to celebrate this important artist in Italy.

The celebrations will begin on 28th July 2019, the date on which the great Spanish artiste will step on to the Arena podium to conduct the orchestra, chorus and exceptional cast of Aida, in the historical edition by Gianfranco de Bosio which, with its successful production, recreates the magic of the first opera night on 10th August 1913, when everything started for the Arena Festival.

From the baton of Andrea Battistoni to the female voices of Lisette Oropesa, Maria Mudryak, Serena Gamberoni and Violeta Urmana, to the male ones of Rame Lahaj, Francesco Meli, Luciano Ganci, Luca Salsi and Simone Piazzola, with the Orchestra, the Choir, the Dance and the Arenian Technicians: a parade of stars for Verdi and the Arena di Verona!
