Duetorrihotels listed in the prestigious “100 Italian Excellences”

Another success for the leading hotel group: its four properties in Verona, Bologna, Florence and Genoa have been featured in the pages of So Wine So Food, in collaboration with Forbes Italia. Cultural and historical heritage, distinctive character and a commitment to the environment are the factors that have enabled these hotels to stand out among the finest examples of Italian excellence.

All four flagship properties of the Duetorrihotels Group have been included in the first edition of the “100 Italian Excellence” guide, published by So Wine So Food, an international food and wine magazine, in collaboration with Forbes Italia.

This is a significant accolade for four establishments set in unique surroundings: the Grand Hotel Majestic “già Baglioni” in Bologna, the Due Torri Hotel in Verona, the Bernini Palace in Florence and the Hotel Bristol Palace in Genoa are all housed in historic buildings that showcase the cultural and artistic heritage of some of Italy’s most beautiful cities of art. All are situated in the heart of the city centre and boast an extreme attention to luxury detail, evident in the quality of the hospitality, furnishings and services.

“It’s a great satisfaction to be mentioned in the 100 Italian Excellences collection” said Mr. Franco Vanetti, Duetorrihotels Managing Director “ behind this success are our people and their efforts to meet every single Guest expectation, always enhancing each hotel identity and peculiarity”.  Our properties have different personalities, enriched by the strong connections to their local territories, cultures and histories”.

It is this attention to detail that has earned the group’s hotels the excellent reputation described in the guide. Thus, the Due Torri Hotel in Verona is highlighted not only for its history and furnishings – notably the Arena Casarini – but also for its widespread commitment to eco-sustainable design and the promotion of environmental protection practices. As for the Grand Hotel Majestic “formerly Baglioni”, the guide states that it embodies what Bologna is famous for, bringing together classical, futurist and contemporary art within its walls, both in terms of painting and architecture. The Bernini Palace recounts the city’s history from 1550 to the present day – in the Sala Parlamento, now the breakfast room, Garibaldi, Cavour and the great figures of the Risorgimento used to meet – at a time when Florence was the capital of the Kingdom of Italy – whilst the Bristol Palace, the elegant Art Nouveau building – as evidenced by the spectacular marble staircase that inspired Hitchcock’s Vertigo – encapsulates the character of Genoa: its openness to the new.
