A romantic set for a big screen

A romantic set for a big screen

20-12-2017

The Due Torri Hotel has turned into a film set. In May, the historic palazzo in Verona accommodated the cast and crew of the film "Un amore così grande", presented last week at the Venice Film Festival. The five-star hotel was selected because it was the perfect setting for shooting several scenes of the film. And thus the Lounge, the Presidential Suite and the Arena Casarini were converted into set scenes. Their sophisticated and elegant ambiences revealed Verona's romantic side and enhanced the love story directed by the director Christian De Mattheis.

The film's cast includes the trio 'Il Volo', famous worldwide as the new ambassador of Bel Canto, and Giuseppe Maggio and Francesca Loy star in the leading roles. The two actors are Vladimir and Vanessa, respectively, who live out their tormented and passionate love story between the cities of St. Petersburg and Verona. The film was produced by Michele Calì and Federica Andreoli's A.C. Production of Verona and the Russian company Len Cinematografica. The emotion triggered by this film can be experienced next Valentine's Day, when the Due Torri locations will appear on the big screen. They can also be relived as guests of the hotel, following in the footsteps of the film's two leading actors.
