The 5-star Due Torri Hotel in Verona plays a vital role in the hospitality sector in the city. A treasure trove of art and history with lots of stories to tell, it offers guests an immersive experience in the heart of the city. All this is possible thanks to the hotel’s strong ties with the local area and collaboration with the most important national and international partners. Today we discover how the Due Torri works with a great many associations and bodies, because only by working together is it possible to improve quality day by day.
A hotel that belongs to many families: memberships
Over the years this, 5-star hotel has joined a number of bodies and associations that stand out for their constant pursuit of quality: like exclusive clubs, they reward care for guests and the ability to build experiences around their needs. The Due Torri is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, one of the world’s most important luxury hotel collections, famous for its painstaking selection of the places it works with, and also of the American travel agency network Virtuoso, Signature and Travellermade. Quintessentially, the first international luxury lifestyle group, also collaborates actively with the Due Torri on its concierge service and lifestyle management.
The Due Torri is housed in a fourteenth-century building whose history interweaves with that of the city. It began life as Palazzo dell'Aquila – the Palace of the Eagle– and served as the guest quarters for the Della Scala family, the Lords of Verona. Since then, it has hosted prestigious guests such as Mozart, Goethe and Garibaldi, and the Austrian emperors of the 19th century. This is why the Hotel is a member of the Locali Storici d’Italia (Historical Places of Italy), an association sponsored by the Ministry for Cultural Goods and Activities that brings together to historical palaces, hotels and other buildings that preserve the memory of the past, and collaborates with Historic Hotels Then and Now, a comparable international network.
A close-knit network of partners
All Due Torri’s offers are designed to allow visitors to discover the local area, immerse themselves in the history and culture of the city, and enjoy unique, bespoke experiences. Courtesy of an extensive network of partnerships and collaborations that is expanding year by year with new contacts and initiatives. The Due Torri is also a member of the American Express Hotel Collection and of the Signature Travel Network of independent travel agencies operating in the luxury sector.
In 2018 the Due Torri Hotel began a collaboration with Etiquette Academy Italy, the first Italian school of manners, business etiquette and professional image. A favourite of high society and the international jet set for decades and the most prestigious 5-star hotel in Verona, it has been chosen as a venue for the Academy’s courses.
The Hotel also reveals its attention to luxury detail through food in general and wine in particular, collaborating with Allegrini, situated in the traditional winegrowing area of the Valpolicella, one of the best-known wine cellars in the world.
The Due Torri takes an active part in the cultural life of the city: it is a partner of the Arena di Verona, the Roman amphitheatre that plays host to one of the world’s most outstanding opera seasons. As an official ticket agency for the Verona Arena Foundation, it is able to present its guests with special offers and reserve them the best seats. It also collaborates with ArtVerona, the city’s art fair, for which this year it organised the sixth edition of the Premio Casarini for young talents, and the Festival della Bellezza, a cultural event organised in the most beautiful historical theatres in Verona and other Italian art towns that proposes original reflections on beauty as an expression of the thinking of great artists.
