Everything’s ready for Christmas and New Year at the Due Torri in Verona

Celebrate Christmas and toast in the New Year in the city of Romeo and Juliet and the Arena. Thanks to the packages Due Torri Hotel in Verona has in store for the Festivities, you can enjoy them in a unique setting, in a historic palazzo in the heart of the city.

Christmas for two at the Due Torri
The fourteenth-century Palazzo dell’Aquila, or Palace of the Eagle, will open its doors for a Christmas break of one to three nights, enabling you to celebrate in a hushed, elegant atmosphere and sleep in bright rooms and suites embellished by antique furniture in all the various styles of the nineteenth century. No to be missed the Christmas lunch, with a dedicated menu accompanied by a special Due Torri wine selection.
Local specialities such as Taleggio cheese fondue, Treviso radicchio, Lessinia grey chicken and tortellini of Valeggio will lead in to a main course of browned lamb loin with rosemary-scented potatoes, sautéed artichokes and Madeira sauce. Dessert will be hazelnut and white chocolate mousse with bergamot, blackcurrant and cinnamon crumble.
New Year’s Eve in the Hotel
The time has come to leave 2021 behind us and to bring in the New Year in grand style. The Due Torri, an ideal base for discovering the city, is offering a holiday for two, involving three days of “cosseting” and haute cuisine. Guests will stay in the rooms and suites of our fourteenth-century palazzo, where every detail – armchairs, dressers, coffee tables, beds, artworks – is unique and representative of the principal styles of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The New Year’s Eve menu is an invitation to savour seafood and traditional recipes, such as Castelluccio di Norcia lentils and Lessinia cotechino, gurnard roulades, baked sea bass and mandarin orange bavarois. The Veneto region is famous for its winegrowing, hence an attractive wine list featuring Franciacorta Brut S.A. – Vezzoli, IGT Massifitti 2015 – Suavia, Vermentino ‘Solo Sole’ 2019 – Poggio al Tesoro, and with dessert, Passito 2019 – Villa Minelli.

We have shared a very challenging year with colleagues and business partners. Now the moment has come to share a relaxing, enjoyable dinner and celebrate with them. The Due Torri will serve a Christmas office dinner with a menu featuring an array of seasonal specialities. The Chef has designed three totally customisable menus, two dedicated to famous guests, Mozart and Maria Callas, and one to Pino Casarini, the great artist who painted the frescoes on display in the hotel.
