The Valpolicella region, located north of Verona, is characterized by vineyards as far as the eye can see, which creep through the meadows up to the hills. The landscape is never monotonous and changes as the road rises towards the highest hills, to the gates of the regional park of Lessinia.
Art, flavors, history, culture and traditions...
are mixed in this hilly area that extends for 240 square kilometers between the city of Verona and Lake Garda and consists of a series of small towns that host Venetian villas and Renaissance rural courts, ancient Romanesque churches and small country churches, but also spectacular natural landscapes with woods, waterfalls, protruding rocks, stone quarries shaped by the climate and man.
Famous are the wines produced in this area: Valpolicella DOC, Amarone and Recioto.
The visit to a winery, among the more than 400 cellars, is a must. Each of them has a story, different methodologies to tell, even if the products are similar.
