The suites are perhaps the spaces that best embody the character and personality of a hotel. The suites at Due Torri Hotel tell the story of a palace whose origins, in its overall structure, date back to the 14th century and which boasts a centuries-old cultural connection with Verona. The rooms of the palace evoke the luxury and comfort with which guests have been welcomed throughout every era.

A bond with the history of Verona

Over the centuries, the hotel has welcomed many distinguished guests, from the knights of Brandenburg who came to Verona in the 1300s to protect Cangrande II della Scala, to the international artists performing at the Verona Arena. It could truly be said that music and culture have passed through Due Torri Hotel. Several rooms are dedicated to great figures from both the distant and more recent past. In this way, the hotel pays tribute to history, for example by dedicating a suite to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: the composer visited the city and stayed at the hotel when he was only thirteen years old — already an accomplished musician at the time. For Maria Callas, Due Torri Hotel became a second home, welcoming her many times during her stays in Verona and accompanying her extraordinary rise to the Olympus of the world’s greatest opera performers.

Browsing through the Suites

Let’s take a look at the Deluxe Suite Maria Callas at Due Torri Hotel, one of the most famous and sought-after suites in the hotel. It offers a classic and elegant atmosphere, furnished with a writing desk, a sofa, and fine wall tapestries. The bathroom is clad in Italian marble, and a connecting Deluxe room serves as a second bedroom. Perhaps the most striking feature is the balcony overlooking the Gothic church of Basilica di Sant'Anastasia, a truly evocative view. This same perspective also inspired the Presidential Suite Sant’Anastasia, the largest in the hotel: 100 square meters beautifully decorated in Empire style, overlooking the square of the same name in Verona. It can truly be described as fit for a king — or even a sheikh: it was created specifically for the visit of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai, who stayed in the city for an equestrian competition.

He occupied all the rooms with his delegation and brought his own culinary brigade. Among the highlights of Due Torri Hotel is the Deluxe Suite Mozart, recently renovated. It is a bright space enriched with antique and design details, featuring a bathroom with a jacuzzi and pink and red marble finishes. Like the Callas Suite, the Mozart Suite connects to an adjacent Grand Deluxe room. It also has a private terrace offering a beautiful view over the historic centre: from here, the Torre dei Lamberti can be seen. Finally, the Classic Romeo and Juliet Suite evokes the romance of the city, recalling Shakespeare’s immortal masterpiece set in Verona. It is a spacious and bright suite, accessed through an elegant entrance hall with a sofa, like a private sitting room. The suite is decorated in Empire style, with parquet floors, silk drapes in warm red tones, and art objects. It is the perfect starting point for a romantic weekend discovering medieval Verona, through the streets and palaces that form the backdrop to the story of Romeo and Juliet.
